Camissa Asset Management joins Strate e-Voting platform

Strate has operationalised another new client on its e‐Voting platform. Camissa Asset Management, with assets under management of R60 billion, is now live to process voting instructions via our fully digital solution.

This is another milestone as we continue to serve the South African financial market ecosystem via our groundbreaking e-Voting platform.

Through full integration with our core CSD platform, the e-Voting service is a secure web-based application that enables digital shareholder meetings for both South African and foreign-incorporated companies.

“The onboarding process with Strate was efficient. Communication from the team was excellent and the training organised and informative. We are looking forward to working together,” says Nondumiso Dlamini, Client Relationship Manager at Camissa Asset Management.

e-Voting seamlessly connects issuers and investors throughout the proxy voting lifecycle, increasing transparency and efficiencies across the value chain.

We are pleased to have now operationalised 18 asset management clients onto our e-Voting platform, with a total of R3.35 trillion in assets under management. The benefits of our e-Voting platform include:

  • Real-time voting from any location
  • Ability for voters to change their vote at any time before meeting close
  • Ability for voters to direct questions to the meeting chairperson
  • No manual intervention at any stage in the value chain
  • Improved corporate governance through interactive, audited reports
  • Data security using blockchain technology
  • A true end-to-end solution
