Fairsure joins e-Voting platform

Strate has operationalised another new client on its e‐Voting platform. Fairsure, with assets under management of R96.3 million, is now live to process voting instructions via our fully digital solution.

This is another milestone as we continue to serve the South African financial market ecosystem via our groundbreaking e-Voting platform.

Through full integration with our core CSD platform, the e-Voting service is a secure web-based application that enables digital shareholder meetings for both South African and foreign-incorporated companies.

“Our experience with the e-Voting team since the initial demo has been fantastic. The journey from start to finish was exceptional. The team was always available to address any concerns to ensure we stayed on track with outstanding items.

“The testing and onboarding team showed great patience while working in the UAT environment. Their expertise in answering our questions was much appreciated. The turnaround times throughout the process were quick and seamless, and we are excited to using the platform moving forward,” says Dean Howburg, Operations Officer at Fairsure.

e-Voting seamlessly connects issuers and investors throughout the proxy voting lifecycle, increasing transparency and efficiencies across the value chain.

We have now enabled 22 asset management clients onto our platform, with a total of R3.369 trillion in assets under management.

Other benefits of our e-Voting platform include:

  • Real-time voting from any location
  • Ability for voters to change their vote at any time before meeting close
  • Ability for voters to direct questions to the meeting chairperson
  • No manual intervention at any stage in the value chain
  • Improved corporate governance through interactive, audited reports
  • A true end-to-end solution
