The representative voice and advocate for the global retail derivatives sector.

About

Founded in 2017, the Retail Derivatives Forum (RDF) is an international coalition of market-leading brokers, regulatory consultants, and technology vendors. We serve as the authoritative, representative voice for the retail OTC derivatives sector, bridging the critical gap between complex market rules and retail trade realities.

Global reporting regimes such as MiFIR and EMIR were originally built around institutional frameworks, creating significant friction, technical mismatches, and compliance burdens for retail products like CFDs and spread bets. The RDF actively addresses these operational challenges by engaging directly with supervisory bodies to shape proportionate, workable standards.

Our feedback directly informs policy, consultation responses, and supervisory guidance across major global regulators, including the FCA, ESMA, ASIC, MAS, and the OSC. In addition to contributing to key initiatives across the globe, the RDF is designated as part of the FCA and Bank of England Transaction Reporting Taskforce and a member of the ANNA DSB Product Committee.

We remain committed to fostering a compliant, well-prepared, and transparent retail derivatives market worldwide.
